Pats Peak will start off the winter ski season with a new, larger chairlift that carries four people per chair. Pats Peak started removing their Hurricane Triple chairlift the day after closing the 2024 season to replace it with the new Hurricane Quad lift.

The lift includes a loading conveyor to improve the efficiency of getting onto the chair lift. The lift will increase Pats Peaks uphill capacity by 25%. Since this lift is a quad chair and faster, it will reduce waiting times and give quicker access to Pats Peak users.

Trees were removed to create easier access to the quad lift from the base area and lodge.

“We’re always upgrading the lifts, we upgrade our lifts to make sure we’re up with the times and giving the customers you know, the best product we can,” said Lori Rowell, the Marketing Manager at Pats Peak. This is a big upgrade for Pats Peak because the Hurricane lift has not been replaced since the 1970’s.

“We want to keep the best products we can available to our guests, so we always like doing investing in stone and snowmaking to have the best ski products we can offer,” Rowell said.
