NEC hosts first Holi Festival

On March 9th, 2023 New England College held its first ever Holi Festival. Holi also known as the Festival of Colours is a significant Hindu festival. The festival celebrates love, spring, and new life. Holi can be celebrated as a time for fun with singing, dancing, and throwing color powder, which is how it was  celebrated  here at New England College.

Starting at 12 in the Great Room there was food, music, and dancing. The celebration then at 2 moved to the Simon Lawn to throw color.

With there being lots of international graduate students from India at New England College this school year, it is important to have events to help celebrate their culture on campus.

With a great turn out many came to celebrate Holi.

The festival was a big success on social media too with pictures being shared by many who attended the event and New England Colleges own social media team.
