September Student Leader of the Month

It is my pleasure to announce the first “Dean of Students – Student Leader of the Month” for the 2017-2018 academic year! Hannah Nelson is a very active student leader on campus: she is a Peer Leader, Women’s basketball player, Student Ambassador, and the Sports Editor of the New Englander. She balances these great leadership activities with a strong GPA and a job in SFS. This past summer Hannah was especially helpful as a Student Ambassador with the admissions department helping to recruit our next class of ‘Grims!

If you see Hannah around campus, please thank her for her great service to our NEC community – and certainly come out this winter to cheer her and our Women’s Basketball team to victory!

Congrats Hannah on your selection for the September Student Leader of the Month!

Hey everybody! I’m Desiree LaPointe and I’m the assistant editor in chief of the newspaper! I commute to our beautiful campus and this is my third year here! I’m a communications major, but also adore English and creative arts. I’m a native New Hampshirite and have been in this state pretty much my whole life My hobbies include reading, writing, and playing video games! . Alice in Wonderland is my favorite book, so much so that I have some killer tattoos of it. I’m hard into collectibles and collect just about anything I can get my hands on. I work part time in Manchester, whenever I’m not on campus. I’m pretty easy to spot. Just look for the short girl with the bright purple hair! I don’t bite, I swear!
