Kyle Dobrie has been part of the NewEnglander team since he was a freshman and when he returns in the fall, he’ll take on the role of sole Editor-In-Chief.

Dobrie, a sophomore, has served as Co-Editor-In-Chief since the fall of 2022 and said he is excited to continue his leadership. Senior Lily Geber led the group for the last year and will be graduating in May.

“I feel like stepping up as Editor can really help out the team get some work done and get more articles up,” Dobrie said. “I was here mainly as a sportswriter, but now, this past semester, I’ve worked with Lily as the Co-Editor-In-Chief, editing a little bit, and had some help from Lily,” Dobrie said.

Dobrie said he enjoys covering topics that are important to the NEC community.

“I get to be a part of a lot of events on campus, really get media out, get some exposure, and get some news out for the campus,” Dobrie said.

Dobrie may be nervous, but he’s more confident than anything.

“It’s going to be time-consuming, but I’m pretty confident ill get it done,” Dobrie said.
