New England College women’s basketball pulls off a spectacular 80-73 win against their rival, Mitchell College, on their senior night, Feb. 13, in Henniker, N.H..

Two seniors stuck out; Ericka Pratt lead the team in scoring with 23 points, while Kayla Goldring almost posted a triple-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.

Besides Pratt and Goldring, other seniors honored that night were Asia Jones, Brianna Pierreval, and Mariah Thomas.

“We really played as a team,” said Pratt. “You can tell we stayed as a unit.” Goldring agreed.

In the first quarter, the Grims made a statement, outscoring Mitchel 27-16. The Momentum continued throughout most of the game. Mitchell made a push late in the fourth, cutting a once 19-point lead to 7, but the girls pulled through in a big statement win.

The team is now 15-6 on the season—a competitive record.

The women’s basketball team looks to finish up the regular season Feb. 16 at Lesley College. After that, it’s onto the playoffs.
