NEC Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Youth Clinic

The New England College Men’s Lacrosse team gave back to the community by helping to mentor the Weare Athletics club at a clinic on NEC’s Don Melander Field on Sunday, April 2. It was a beautiful day for lacrosse with athletes of all ages coming together to grow the game. Coaches and players alike had a great time getting involved and helping each other grow their game.

Hunter Sutcliffe, a goaltender for the NEC men’s lacrosse team, who was involved in the clinic has a passion for coaching the younger generations.

“Coach Brown set up a clinic to help the local youth group and given my love for coaching and growing the game of lacrosse, I jumped at the opportunity,” Sutcliffe said.

For Sutcliffe, the clinic was a chance to give back.

“Running drills with the kids and helping them learn was a great opportunity for me, I just really enjoyed being able to spread the love of the game that has given me so many great opportunities and would love to give back to it in any way I can.”
